WHO WE ARE

Welcome to the Bright Social Development Foundation (BSDF), a Sri Lankan-based humanitarian and social transformation-focused organization. Established in 2015, BSDF is dedicated to promoting education and improving socio-cultural and economic conditions for the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized people in the Nuwara Eliya district.

For nearly nine years, BSDF has been at the forefront of humanitarian efforts in Sri Lanka, striving tirelessly for the betterment of vulnerable community groups. Our commitment to this cause transcends racial, ethnic, and political boundaries, as we firmly believe in equality and justice for all.

LEGAL REGISTRATION

Bright Social Development Foundation (BSDF) was founded as a voluntary service organization, we are registered with the National Secretariat for Non-Governmental Organizations under the Ministry of Public Security in Sri Lanka, operating under the Act No. 31 of 1980 (Registration No: L – 180504). At BSDF, we are committed to fostering positive social change and community development initiatives across Sri Lanka. Our dedication to serving the needs of our communities led us to re-register as a guarantee limited company under the Company Act No. 7 of 2007 (Reg No. GA 00248295).
